Skin needling is a safe and increasingly popular skin renewal treatment to restore the healthy, youthful appearance of your skin with minimal downtime. At Complete Lasercare we use only Medik8 Titanium Dermarollers which are sterile and single use. All treatments are performed by trained, experienced nurses in a very safe and precise manner.
Skin needling can produce comparable results to laser, dermabrasion and deep chemical peels, whilst it is far less invasive and does not require the removal of the skin surface meaning healing time is much shorter and there is no post-treatment sensitivity to UV light. The treatment is virtually pain-free with no post-treatment discomfort.
Skin needling is suitable for all skin types and can be used on delicate areas such as around the eyes, mouth, neck, decolletage and hands.
The concept of skin needling is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself when damaged. Immediately after an injury, the body removes the damaged collagen and other structures which are replaced by new components. New collagen synthesis results in smoother, firmer and more youthful looking skin. Wrinkle depth is reduced and skin elasticity improved following a course of treatment.
Skin will need to be primed with an antioxidant such as SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic or Phloretin for four weeks prior to commencing treatment and continued throughout the course of treatment. A course of three treatments, six weeks apart is recommended for optimum results. Consultations to discuss individual needs are free of charge and without obligation.
