How Long Is The Recovery Time For Laser Hair Removal?

Lightsheer Laser Hair Removal EquipmentThe “recovery” time following a treatment for Laser hair Removal is usually very quick.

You may experience skin reddening, bumpiness and a mild burning/tingling sensation immediately after treatment, which usually subsides after 1-2 hours.

Sometimes micro spots can appear on areas of thick hair growth such as underarms and bikini due to a stronger reaction to the treatment. This usually resolves within a couple of days.

It is usually advisable to avoid certain things for a short time after the procedure, such as contact sports, hot baths or showers and exposure to sun light.

At Complete Lasercare we will advise you fully with regards to this.

Hair reduction can be immediate but most of the results become apparent within 3 weeks of treatment. Gentle exfoliation can help pull out the “dead” hairs – such as using a loofah in the shower.

Sometimes it appears as though the hairs are still growing for up to 10 days afterwards. This hair will gradually shed. New growth that occurs after about 5 weeks will be the next phase of “new  hair” which comes from un-treated follicles from other phases of growth.

This is the best time to have the next treatment.
